It was in 1900, when this camera was constructed to take photo of trains with dimension of 8 x 4.5 feet. The cost was $5000, a lotta money in that time. This camera used two specially made Zeiss lenses, namely 5.5 feet (1700mm) equivalent focus wide lens and 10 feet (3000mm) telescopic rectilinear lens. I do not know about the sharpness and vignetting of the lens, which becomes visible on big photograph plates, but to make this camera was a big feat indeed.
